"Art is one of the most powerful tools we have as human beings to express and explore ourselves and our surroundings. Art experienced at the time that it is created is often radical by its nature even subversive at times. Yet, it is also equally celebratory, affirming of love and life. Artists often use their art to speak from the margins to the center, enabling visibility and audibility to the oppressed and shifting societal norms for the better.

Every Body features work by LGBTQ artists illustrating the artists presentation of self at a time when equality and justice seem to hang by a thin thread. The participating artists look at the human body and life experience from many different viewpoints: exploring identity, sexuality, movement, form and the transcendence of form." - Dr. Filiz Cicek
